Skilling Queenslanders for Work

About SQW

Training pathways for valuable experiences

Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) is a state-funded initiative that crafts supportive training pathways for those facing employment challenges. CLA has been delivering two SQW projects with considerable success since 2016.

The Re-Gen Project

This 20-week paid traineeship is designed for individuals encountering employment barriers. By engaging in community projects, trainees obtain an accredited Certificate 1 in Conservation and Land Management. This programme equips them with essential job preparation skills. We welcome two groups of fifteen trainees every year. For further details, please use the Contact SQW form below.

The Good Food Project

For those passionate about the culinary arts and facing job hurdles, The Good Food Project presents a golden opportunity. Participants can earn a Certificate II in Kitchen Operations while gaining valuable work experience in the restaurant sector. Alongside this, they're armed with the necessary job preparation techniques. We recruit three batches of fifteen participants each year. For further details, please use the Contact SQW form below.
