This research highlights a significant gap in how we support vulnerable young people. While investment continues to flow into crisis and statutory responses, community-based youth services that provide early intervention, prevention, and local support have been steadily declining. The findings make a compelling case that investing earlier, in neighbourhood-based services and trusted youth workers, can prevent homelessness from becoming entrenched and deliver better outcomes for young people, families, and communities.
