Capacity Building Supports
Our Service approach
Capacity building supports are delivered by our CLP team. CLP has existed since 1989.
Our Capacity Building supports focus on:
- Building relationships
- Building resources
- Building knowledge
- Building decision making
At intake, and each year, we review participant’s goals with them and work with them to develop capacity in those areas.
Examples of capacity building projects we support NDIS participants with include:
- Developing social skills and inclusion
- Developing health literacy and management
- Developing meaningful roles in the community
- Transitioning to independence

Our Model of Service
CLP don’t operate under a ‘Disability Support Worker’ model of service.
Rather, our staff are largely qualified social workers and human service practitioners.
Many are members of the ‘Australian Association of Social Workers’ and bound by that professional body’s ‘Code of Ethics’ and ‘Practice Standards’.
CLP staff are consequently more highly remunerated, receive ongoing supervision, training, and professional development opportunities, as well as access to regular team meetings, debriefing, and reflective practice.
