CLA has a large functional space available to community and not for profit groups as well as local businesses to hire. It is close to nundah shops and train station. Some of its features include:

  • Approximately 130 square meters of open floor space;
  • Shower, toilet and wheelchair accessible toilet;
  • Functional kitchen, dishwasher and serving space;
  • Chairs and tables, cutlery and crockery.

    Shed space is of a warehouse nature and may suit:
  • Meetings, workshops, community groups;
  • As an art or music space;
  • As covered market space for Sunday Norh-side Markets;
  • Limited storage oppotunities also available;
  • We are open to approaches for other usages.

Shade Provides a Place for Community to Gather

Thanks to Brisbane City Council, Community Living Association Nundah has completed almost $20,000 dollars worth of environmental improvements to its community building at 23 Nundah St.

A fantastic new shade sail and a coat of solar reflective paint, has avoided the cost of air-conditioning - as well as 4.00 tonnes of carbon emissions per year.

The space now houses a number of community groups comfortably, including: a Cooperative for disadvantage workers; an adult literacy program; a music group for people with a disability and a children’s circus group. A 3000L water tank has also been connected which will reduce the facilities water use.

Community Living Association would like to thank the Brisbane City Council and Lord Mayors Sustainability grants program, for the opportunity to install these environmentally friendly features which have also created a more people friendly building.
