Group Support Worker

Develop relationships and learn more about individuals with mild intellectual disabilities.  Be a valuable part of various groups such as Touch Football, Literacy and Numeracy, Cooking and Savings. These groups are based around Nundah and require that the volunteer is able to attend without transport support.

You only need good people skills, communication skills.  Openness to difference and willingness to engage in a positive manner with a person with a disability. 

You will receive knowledge about and skills for working with a person with a disability.  On the job training, monthly supervision/support, etc
